You have a decent tutorial on Skale, btw? It seems what you linked to assumes that one has used FastTracker, which I have not.

Reason, Cubase, and FL all have MIDI capabilities and tons of stuff you can do with the MIDI that you played on your keyboard. All you need is a MIDI controller (which I dont have) so i just use Piano Roll in FL along with tons of VST's and VSTi's.

I started with buzz and later tried all the rest, time and time again I couldn't help but notice how restricted other programs were by comparison to buzz's infinite scope of possibilty.
oh and being free has nothing to do with it's power. copyrighted since 1997 and still going, open ended design encouraging (and coupled with) it's community lead support however, does contribute to it's "power".
system req. pentuim 133 and a soundcard.
FL came close but only becuase it semi-supports buzz effects and generators (which imo: piss all over vst/vsti)
Stick to what you know though.

Ahhh, only listened to the first quarter of the song, and I can alread ytell that THIS is what the song should sound like.
NIN used to be decent stuff, but they seem to have lost that edge that made them what they were...

True enough, depends on your tastes I suppose Either way though, you made that song a lot better.
